Using the power of the internet, WorkSpace Explorer.Net gives students and teachers secure access to the school network from any Internet connected PC. It takes all the facilities of the Classroom, except applications and puts them on the student’s home PC, library PC or wherever they are working. All they need is a device that supports internet access.
Using WorkSpace Explorer.Net, students can access their school work over the internet, their home directories, project folders and associated resources. They can send and receive email, engage in discussion forums, access notice boards, complete project work and hand it in.
Obviously, with any remote access service, security is a factor, but with CSE WorkSpace Explorer.Net high-security comes as standard.
CSE isolates the establishments network from the Internet and provides remote management to ensure the service operates smoothly.
All traffic is directed through CSE's secure Internet based servers, users are never directly connected to the school, and therefore the school’s network is never directly exposed to Internet access and the consequent security risks from hackers.
Users can access the actual data on the school network without having to remember to up-load files they might need at home to a web site.
WorkSpace Explorer.Net improves communications between pupils, parents and teachers, with parents able to view students project work and deadlines. CSE Education Systems
Over the half term break our IT Technicians together with CSE have successfully completed the first stage of the programme. All student PC's are now able to access the CSE Education System from within the school. The latest development has been the addition of a Portal Service allowing students access to their home folders from any PC via the internet. This service can be accessed by clicking on the 'CPS Portal' tab at the top right of the Cleeve Park Home page.
